Wimbledon 2017 Preview
The grand slam tennis tournament is fast approaching us and with just a few weeks to go people are buying up their tickets and preparing themselves for what could be another smashing year for our very own defending single champion Andy Murray, two-time Wimbledon Champion but can he make it a hat trick for 2017?
However, our ladies single two-time champion Serena Williams from the US will not be present to defend her title this year due to her pregnancy.
The world class competition which is organised by All England Lawn Tennis and the International Tennis Federation is to be held at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, London UK.
The gates will open for Wimbledon Championships 2017 at 10.30am on Monday 3rd July for the public and run through to Sunday the 16th July.
With the Great British weather unpredictable and with Wimbledon in the past seen blazing wall to wall sunshine one year then had a complete wash the year after the bets are on for this year’s weather.
Will the weather continue to heat up or will courts be a washout?
But more importantly who’s the favourites for this years Wimbledon Singles and can any of the top five Ranked players actually win?

Andy Murray (UK) Ranked No 1 – 2012 and 2016 singles Male Champion.
Can Murray defend his title and take the champion title for the 3rd time?

Nadal pulled out of play at Queens recently as he wanted to save his energy for Wimbledon.
Would his bold efforts pay off for him?

Three-times grand slam winner in recent years the 32 years old was knocked out of queens in the first round, so what’re his chances?

Novak Djokovic (Serbia) Ranked No 4
Three times Wimbledon Champion is feeling confident but has always stated grass is his least favourite surface.

Roger Federer (Switzerland) Ranked No 5
Some say that only Federer is capable of beating Murray and he’s looking in fine form.

Angelique Kerber (Germany) – Ranked No 1
Hopes for a win at Wimbledon 2017 are looking doubtful as Kerber is still suffering from an ongoing injury.

Halep lost out at the French open to Jelena Ostapenko, will her luck change at Wimbledon.

Karolina Pliskova (Czech Republic) – Ranked No 3
With Wimbledon, looming Pliskova withdraws from Birmingham due to a dodgy elbow and is hoping the rest will see it right.

The US Ranked No 4 Serena Williams is out due to pregnancy but has said she would be back in 2018, but her sister Venus Williams Ranked No 11 is in, and her odds are at 16/1
Elina Svitolina (Ukraine) – Ranked No 5
With Svitolina off to a successful start, things look hopeful for the 22-year old player.

I am sure it will be a great tournament as usual. Looking at these favourites, it may be worth putting a free bet on one of these. Maybe Murray can win the singles again, though with his early exit at Queens could we take it as an indication of a dip in form. If tennis is not something you like to bet on then the King George VI Weekend in Ascot will be soon approaching near the end of Wimbledon, so you could do what many have done and try your hand at some horse racing systems, if you just fancy a flutter!
